FAQs

Things people often want to know – especially if they're new to coaching.

How long does coaching take?

It totally depends on my clients and what they come to coaching for. Some have a specific goal in mind and may only need a few concentrated sessions. Others are looking to implement major transformations in their life and might work with me over 12 or 18 months. And there's everything else in between!

What if I've never done coaching before?

That's fine – most of my clients haven't. I'll explain how it works and what to expect. You'll know pretty quickly whether this approach feels right for you and how it can help.

What if I don't know what I want?

Most people come to coaching precisely because they don't have clarity – they just know something needs to change. That's a completely valid place to start. We'll figure the rest out together.

What if I'm not sure coaching with you specifically is right for me?

Book a call. That's what the free 30 minutes is for. It's an opportunity to ask as many questions as you want about the process or my experience. There's no commitment on either side – if we're not the right fit, I'll say so honestly. I'd rather you find the right support than feel stuck with the wrong one.

Is coaching really worth it?

It is often preferred for people in midlife as it is forward-looking and helps people to take control of the next chapter of their lives. It provides a safe, confidential space to explore career changes or personal shifts without any judgment. And wanting a life that feels purposeful and true to you isn't self-indulgent. It's necessary. You can't keep giving from an empty well – and when you're more clear and energised, that benefits everyone around you too.

Is this therapy?

No. Therapy helps you understand and heal the past. Coaching focuses on where you want to go and how to get there – clarifying what matters, shifting thinking that's holding you back, and taking meaningful action. They're complementary, not the same. If you're dealing with significant mental health concerns, your GP or a qualified therapist would be the right first call – and coaching can work well alongside that kind of support.

Pause. Reflect. Bloom.
